Apple, what next?

War clouds are hanging over the global wireless earphone market dominated by Apple. The opponent's offensive against Apple's dominance is unusual. Some predict that Samsung Electronics' new wireless earphone "Galaxy Buds X" will be equipped with noise cancelling function. Global dinosaur IT companies such as Microsoft and Google are also offering new products equipped with artificial intelligence assistant functions. Various predictions are being made about Apple's launch of next-generation wireless earphones.

Samsung Electronics' next-generation wireless earphones are believed to be a design that is easily accessible to the ear, which looks like a kidney bean. It is said to be equipped with two speakers and three microphones in an open-type design that is about 2.8 centimeters long and does not have an ear tip.
The name of Samsung Electronics' new wireless earphones is "Galaxy Buds X." Samsung Electronics registered the Galaxy Buds X trademark on April 27 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the European Intellectual Property Office and the UK Intellectual Property Office.

It is estimated that it will be equipped with active noise cancelling (noise removal). Forbes and other foreign media claimed that there is a high possibility of applying noise cancelling to Buds X. Koh Dong-jin, president of Samsung Electronics' IM division, said at a regular shareholders' meeting held in March that he is carefully judging the application of noise cancelling. Already in April, Samsung Electronics launched its wireless earphone AKG N400 with noise cancelling features through its subsidiary Harman.

Galaxy Buds X is expected to strengthen its fitness function. According to information released to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Buds X includes a function to measure heart rate changes, calorie consumption, travel distance and time. Samsung Electronics' first-generation wireless earphone "Gear Icon X" has fitness functions such as speed of movement, distance and running guide, but was removed as it moved into the Buds series.

IT media Let's Go Digital and Sam Mobile predicted that the Galaxy Note 20 (tentative name) will likely be released around August.
