How to use the Galaxy Watch as a remote control
Attention is focusing on how to use the Galaxy Watch as a remote control of the Galaxy S20 camera.
According to U.S. IT media Sam Mobile, the camera controller app for the Galaxy Watch has been updated to support the Galaxy S20 series.
If you are using a Samsung smartwatch, you can remotely view the Galaxy S20 camera viewfinder or press the shutter button from afar.
Although the camera controller app was announced with the Galaxy Watch Active 2 last year, it also works in the first generation of Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active.
Not long ago, the app only supported the Galaxy S10 series, the Galaxy Note 10 series and the Galaxy Fold series, but the update will provide additional support for the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Z flip series.
Using the camera controller app, the synchronization of the smartphone and the smartwatch begins, the viewfinder of the smartphone camera is shown on the smartwatch, and when the proper composition or timing is reached, the camera starts shooting by pressing the shutter button on the smartwatch.
This function has a great effect when filming in night mode, which should not cause shaking of the camera.
It is also possible to switch between the main camera and selfie camera of the Galaxy S20 if you push the screen in the smartwatch.
Filming is possible with both still and video clips, but not all camera functions of the Galaxy S20 are available in the smartwatch, and the recorded video is also not available, so the downside is that you have to check this part using the Galaxy S20 smartphone.
The new camera controller app version is 1.0.79, and can be updated to the latest version in the Galaxy Store.
